When we open up a log, we never quite know what we are going to find... Each slice is a cross section of many decades of growth. We have milled hundreds of slabs and made lots of wonderful discoveries... "Green" slabs, fresh off the sawmill, full of moisture and not yet oxidized, look quite different than they do when they are fully dried.
